The background:APSU was founded more than 10 years ago in 2011 by three visionaries from the Magallanes region in Chile. The idea was to develop an ultra-mobile system to harvest and bottle water from pristine springs in the heart of Patagonia. The source:The source for APSU is glacier water from Gran Campo Nevado in sub-Antarctic Chilean Patagonia. The glacier forms several streams that flow into the Pacific Ocean, particularly Skyring Sound. With their mobile system, they select remote streams and harvest water from free-flowing sources of glacial water before it disappears into the Pacific Ocean.First harvest:In January 2022, the time had come and Francesco Giangrandi and his team were able to bottle their water for the first time after years of preparation and planning.
