Domaine Arlaud is a family-run winery located in the Burgundy region of France. Founded in the late 19th century, the estate is now run by the fourth generation of the Arlaud family. The winery is renowned for its production of high-quality Pinot Noir wines, and their Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is no exception. This Grand Cru is made from grapes grown in the Charmes-Chambertin vineyard, which is located in the Côte de Nuits sub-region of Burgundy. The vineyard is known for its limestone-rich soils, which impart a unique minerality to the wines. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks, before being aged in oak barrels for 12-18 months. The resulting wine is a deep ruby-red colour, with aromas of ripe red fruits, spices, and earthy notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with a long finish. The tannins are well-integrated, and the wine has a good balance of acidity and fruit. This is a complex and elegant wine, with a great potential for aging.
