In addition, in all cases the supports must be : Flat, stable and be adherent to their support, have a direct tensile cohesion of at least 0.5 MPa, be free of any product that may affect the adhesion of any primer and adhesive. The substrates suitable for glued parquet are defined in DTU 51.2. APPLICATION SikaBond 54 Parquet is applied to the carefully prepared substrate directly from the bucket or bag and evenly distributed using the notched trowel. Thoroughly embed the floorboards in the glue so as to obtain a good adhesion on all their underside. The blades can then be tightened with a hammer and an intermediate piece. Many types of flooring must be beaten from above for clamping. A peripheral joint of between 10 and 15 mm must be respected at the junction of the parquet floor, walls and joinery. Excess uncured adhesive must be removed immediately from the surface of the flooring with a clean cloth and, if necessary, with Sika Remover 208 or Sika Clean impregnated wipes. Compatibility tests between the flooring and Sika Remover 208 should be carried out prior to use. Parquet floors must be laid in accordance with DTU 51.2, and with the parquet manufacturer's specifications (humidity level, peripheral joints, joints between strips, etc.). Use Sika products with care. Before use, please consult the manufacturer's product manual available on the sika.com website.
