FIJI - EARTH'S FINEST WATER -- FIJI - The Gold Standard Next to evian and VOSS, probably the best-known water brand on our planet. A success story straight out of a picture book. The water begins on the Fiji Islands and shortly before it is consumed, it even appears on German supermarket shelves. Absolutely ingenious! THE FINEST WATER ON EARTH BOTTLED AT THE SOURCE - UNTOUCHED BY HUMANS Fiji, a country more or less defined by a water bottle. Below the Yaqara Valley on the island of Viti Levu lies a vast artesian aquifer, a huge volcanic chamber encapsulated by the rock walls of an ancient crater. This aquifer was a great discovery - it exists as if in a valley on the northern tip of Viti Levu. The misty peaks of the Nakauvadra Mountains always have cool temperatures. Moisture-rich clouds gather here and quickly reach their dew point. They dissipate in the rain that falls on the volcanic highlands all year round. So on a remote Pacific island 250 km from the nearest continent, equatorial trade winds cleanse the clouds that begin FIJI Water's journey through one of the world's last virgin ecosystems. As tropical rain falls on a pristine rainforest, it filters through layers of volcanic rock, slowly collecting the natural minerals and electrolytes that give FIJI Water its smooth, mellow taste. The water collects in a natural artesian aquifer deep below the earth's surface, shielded from outside elements by the confines of layers of rock. Natural pressure pushes the water to the surface, where it is bottled at the source without being touched by humans. As it percolates through the volcanic layer, this moisture is also naturally filtered, picking up a variety of minerals such as silicates, magnesium and calcium in the process, giving the water its soft, silky mouthfeel. Fiji contains 140 mg of hydrogen carbonate and 85 mg of silicic acid per litre and therefore has a special effect on human skin, hair and nails. This is probably why it is so popular with the celebs in America. Fiji has a slightly sweet taste and is therefore an excellent accompaniment to sweet desserts. With an ideal pH value of 7.5, it is not only very healthy and completely pure, but has also revealed its strength time and again in various international tastings by professional sommeliers. FIJI Water was founded in 1996 and is now a real benchmark all over the world. Sustainable: Established in 2007, the FIJI Water Foundation is a non-profit foundation funded and supported by FIJI Water's owners, employees and group companies. FIJI Water has a long-term partnership with Conservation International, a leading environmental organisation, with whom we work to preserve the purity and biological richness of the Fijian Islands. www.fijiwater.com http://finewaters.com/bottled-waters-of-the-world/fiji/fiji-water 330ml still PET bottle TDS 222 mg / l ph-factor 7.7 Hardness 105 mg / l Nitrate 0.27 mg / l Calcium 18 mg / l Magnesium 15 mg / l Sodium 17 mg / l Potassium 5 mg / l Silica 93 mg / l Bicarbonate 152 mg / l Sulphate 2 mg / l Chloride 11 mg / l
