The Foam Gun is a spray gun for extracting foam, it is compatible with the Sika Boom Pistolable range. The Foam Gun is economical, lightweight and easy to handle. Advantages : Good adhesion to concrete, cement mortar, cement fibres, terracotta, plaster, tile, wood, other Good elastic recovery Limits the efforts transmitted to the supports Thermal and acoustic insulation Propellant gas that is not harmful to the ozone layer Features : Colour: White Density: 20 + 5 kg / m3 approx. (polymerized foam in free expansion) Reference: 490407 Packaging : 1x Foam Gun Gun for SIKA Boom Xl Gun foam Delivered in its original packaging Tips : Preparation of the substrate: The supports must be cohesive, healthy and clean. Remove dust, laitance, grease, rust, etc... and any product that may affect adhesion. Moisten the supports by spraying tap water. Application method/Tools: Before applying the foam, protect the substrates with removable masking tape and the floor from any burrs. General: Shake the Sika Boom - XL GUN aerosol well for at least 20 seconds before use. Shake again after long interruptions in use. ? Moisten by spraying tap water on the supports and between layers of extruded foam. ? Fill the cavities with approx. 30% of their total volume, because in the event of excess, the strong expansion of the foam can cause significant overflows and possible soiling. ? Apply in layers up to 30 mm thick. The foam consistency is suitable for filling vertical joints up to 5 cm wide. ? Cavities or joints wider than 5 cm must be filled in successive layers applied on the previous fully cured ones. ? After curing, cut the foam with a cutter if necessary. ? In the case of exterior joinery, make an exterior cladding with 10 mm thick cement mortar and then apply a sealant joint from the Sika range to a Sika joint base of suitable cross-section to achieve air and water tightness. All components must be temporarily fixed until the foam has completely cured. The final strength is obtained after complete polymerization. ? Can be painted after 24 hours of drying at + 20C: preliminary test ? Can be plastered after 24 hours of drying at +20C with a cement or plaster mortar. ? Spray application: Screw the aerosol adapter onto the gun adapter. Extract the foam by pressing the gun trigger. ? The amount of extruded foam foam can be adjusted by pressing the trigger more or less or by screwing or unscrewing the gun knob. ? Fill the deep joints in several layers. Do not completely fill the cavities as the foam expands during polymerization. ? Do not unscrew or remove unused spray can from the gun. ? Never leave an empty aerosol on a spray gun so that the foam does not harden in the gun. ? Immediately after removing the gun from an empty aerosol, screw in a new aerosol or clean the gun thoroughly with Sika Boom Cleaner to avoid damaging the gun (see Sika Boom Cleaner instructions). Use Sika products with caution. Before use, please consult the manufacturer's product manual available on the sika.com website.
