Jermann is an Italian winery located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy. Founded in 1881 by Antonio Jermann, the winery is now run by his great-grandson, Silvio Jermann. Jermann produces a range of wines, including whites, reds, and sparkling wines. Their Chardonnay is a classic example of the variety, made from grapes grown in the Collio and Colli Orientali del Friuli DOCs. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged in oak barrels for six months. The result is a full-bodied, complex Chardonnay with aromas of ripe apples, pears, and tropical fruits, as well as notes of vanilla, butter, and toasted oak. On the palate, the wine is creamy and smooth, with a long finish. Jermann's Chardonnay is a great choice for pairing with seafood, poultry, and creamy pasta dishes.
