Jermann is an Italian winery located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy. Founded in 1881 by Antonio Jermann, the winery has been producing wines for over a century. Jermann is best known for its Pinot Grigio, a white wine made from the Pinot Gris grape variety. The grapes are grown in the Collio Goriziano area, where the soil is rich in limestone and clay. The grapes are harvested by hand and then fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for a minimum of six months. Jermann Pinot Grigio is a light-bodied white wine with aromas of citrus, pear, and white flowers. On the palate, the wine is crisp and refreshing, with flavors of green apple, lemon, and almond. The finish is long and balanced, with a hint of minerality. This wine pairs well with seafood, salads, and light pasta dishes.
