Pack of 12 SIKA Sika Boom 102 Combi polyurethane foam expansives - 500ml, a 2 in 1 insulating foam used to wedge, seal and insulate against cold, noise and draughts. This expansive foam is extruded "upside down" and has good adhesion to concrete, cement mortar, cement fibres, terracotta, plaster, tile, wood for maximum versatility. Advantages : Good adhesion on many substrates Good elastic recovery Allows to limit the forces transmitted to the support Very good acoustic and thermal insulation An upside-down extrusion Designed with an ozone-friendly propellant gas Ideal for additional mechanical fixing and insulation around door and window frames, filling of hollow spaces in: walls, partitions, pipe and ductwork passages Features : Density: 20 +/- 5 kg / m3 approx. Application temperature: From + 10C minimum to + 25C maximum Curing speed: Final drying after 24 hours at + 23 C and 50 % RH. Dry to the touch: Approx. 18 to 26 minutes at + 23 C and 50 % RH. Fire resistance: B3 (cured polymerized foam) Reuse: Reusable for 1 month if the hose is folded up Colour : White Packaging : 500ml Reference : 521224x12 Packaging : 1 Batch of 12 polyurethane foams Tips : SUPPORT Substrates must be cohesive, sound and clean. Remove dust, laitance, grease, rust and any product that may affect adhesion. Moisten the substrates by spraying with tap water. APPLICATION Shake the aerosol well for at least 20 seconds before use. Shake again after long interruptions in use. Moisten by spraying tap water onto the substrates and between layers of extruded foam. Fill the cavities with approx. 30 % of the total volume, as excess foam expansion can lead to overflow and possible soiling. Apply in layers up to 30 mm thick. The consistency of the foam is suitable for filling vertical joints up to 5 cm wide. Cavities or joints wider than 5 cm must be filled in successive layers applied over the previous fully cured ones. After polymerisation, cut the foam with a cutter if necessary. In the case of exterior joinery, make an exterior cladding with 10 mm thick cement mortar and then apply a mastic joint on a base of joints of suitable section to obtain air and water tightness. All construction elements must be temporarily fixed until the foam has fully cured. The final strength is obtained after complete curing. Can be painted after 24 hours drying at +20C: test beforehand. Use Sika products with care. Before use, please refer to the manufacturer's product manual available on the sika.co.uk website.
