Orientation of the slicks: it is advisable to avoid horizontal overlaps. To do this, proceed with a: vertical unwinding when the wall height to be protected is greater than the width of the slick. Horizontal unwinding when the paving height is less than or equal to the width of the slick. Implementation : Unroll the tablecloth. As it moves forward, fix it mechanically at the top (usually every 25 cm), using the tips and mounting buttons. Overlapping of the sheets: by interlocking the cells over a minimum of 10 to 15 cm. Avoid vertical overlapping areas near the corners. In the case of a horizontal overlap, the slick of the highest level shall cover that of the lowest level. First attach the lower level web to the substrate using the Sika Multiseal self-adhesive waterproofing strip (cut strips about 15 cm long every 50 to 60 cm). Unroll the tablecloth from the upper level by overlapping it by about 15 cm. The junction between the 2 layers must be ensured by Sika Multiseal. Finishing upper edge: place the profile to cover the upper part of the tablecloth. It is mechanically fixed in the perforations provided for this purpose. Finishing lower edge: in the lower part, the slick stops at the lower edge of the foundations. Backfilling: as HDPE is UV-resistant, it is advisable to backfill very quickly after installation to prevent it from becoming brittle. Use Sika products with caution.
