Founded in 1729, Ruinart is one of the oldest houses in Champagne. It has an outstanding reputation despite having a slightly lower profile than some of the larger houses in the region. Their Gallo - Roman chalk cellars are UNESCO classified and every other year, the house hosts the prestigious Trophé Ruinart competition, which attracts some of the finest sommeliers in the world. Dom Ruinart is the name of the house’s prestige Champagne which exists both in Rosé and Blanc de Blancs. As a general house, style Ruinart has a strong emphasis on Chardonnay over the two Pinots.
