The product cures under the action of ambient humidity to form a durable elastomer compatible with a wide range of substrates. Adhesion can be improved by degreasing the substrates with Sika Aktivator-205 or by applying the appropriate Sika primer. See the Sika Surface Preparation Guide. APPLICATION Cartridge: pierce the membrane of the cartridge. Pocket: place the pocket in the gun tube and cut at the clip. Cut the nozzle according to the size of the desired joint. For satisfactory results, the product must be applied with a pneumatic or manual spray gun or a pumping unit. Sikaflex 512 Caravan must be applied at a temperature between +5C and +35C.
