SIKA Sikafloor Garage colored epoxy paint - Gray - 6kg, a colored film-forming coating designed to protect floors with light or moderate traffic such as garages, car parks, workshop, cellars, laundry, bathrooms, storage areas, areas of production, basement of walls. Easy to apply and low-odor, this resin adheres to many substrates such as concrete, mortar, asphalt, cement-fiber etc. Advantages: Good adhesion on many substrates: concrete, cement base screed, mortar, epoxy mortar, fiber cement, asphalt, asphalt Good mechanical resistance: supports moderate loads Good chemical resistance: resistant to moderate chemical attack Low VOC emission (Components Organic Volatile) Permeable to water vapor Thinner with water Easy to apply Low odor Read the package leaflet before use Characteristics: Mixed density: 1.22 surroundings Application temperature: + 10 C minimum at + 30 C maximum Consumption: Primary: 1 layer of Sikafloor Garage diluted with 5% water by weight 0.2 to 0.3 kg / m - Smooth film coating: 1 to 2 layers of Sikafloor Garage 0.2 to 0.3 kg / m per layer - Thick semi-smooth coating: Application on vertical walls, slopes, slopes: 2 layers of Sikafloor Garage with 2% by weight of thickening agent Sika Extender T 0.4 to 0.6 kg / m for 2 couch es Color: Flint Gray Packaging: Comes in the original packaging Advice: SUPPORT The support must have the following minimum mechanical strengths: Cohesion of at least 1.5 MPa in direct tension / Compressive strength of at least 25 MPa . It must be clean, healthy, dry and have undergone suitable mechanical preparation (shot blasting for example) to obtain a rough surface, free of any non or little adherent part. The substrate must be free of traces of oil, grease, laitance, curing compound and any substance that may affect the adhesion of the resins. If in doubt, first make an application test on a small surface. Careful aspiration will be performed after surface preparation. The defects of the support such as potholes, holes or flatness defects will be treated beforehand with the appropriate products of our ranges Sikafloor, Sikadur or Sikagard. The asperities will be treated by sanding. Concretes and mortars must be at least 28 days old. To ensure the continuity of the coating, the support must have a good regularity surface and be free of cavities and asperities. If the surface appearance is glossy, sand to create a micro-roughness. If the surface appearance is uneven, proceed to surfacing or patching. Concretes and screeds must be primed (Sikafloor Garage diluted with 5% water) applied to the roller. APPLICATION First check the substrate humidity and temperature, the product temperature, the ambient humidity and temperature and the dew point. If the substrate humidity is greater than 6%, Sikafloor EpoCem can be applied as a barrier system. Primary: Check that the surface of the substrate has no porosity. If necessary, apply 2 coats of primer (see page 2). The primer must be applied by brush. It is necessary to make sure to penetrate the first layer of primer in the support. Finishing: Apply Sikafloor Garage uniformly with a short-haired roller in crossed passes. A seamless appearance can be achieved through a "fee-for-service" application. Uneven application and / or uneven layer thicknesses can cause gloss differences in the final coating. Use Sika products with care. Before use, please consult the manufacturer's product leaflet available on the sika.fr website.
