It can also be applied as soundproofing to reduce noise on parts (wheel arches). The raw metals will have to be treated beforehand in order to improve the resistance to corrosion. APPLICATION SikaGard 6470 can be applied using an air-mix spraying system at a pressure of 3 to 6 bar. For advice on choosing and setting up an application system, contact the Sika Industry Engineering Department. Shake about 40 times, the can before any use. Protect surrounding areas before spraying. Spray at room temperature and at a distance of 25 cm when cross-applied to achieve an even layer. SikaGard 6470 can be applied without forming fog or drip. Apply the product until the desired thickness is achieved. For a thick layer application, it is recommended to deposit the product in several passes, allowing to dry well between each layer. A wide variety of appearance can be produced by modifying the spraying technique. Do not spray on parts of the brake system, engine and exhaust. Use Sika products with care.
