The cavities must be repaired using a suitable mortar from the SikaTop range. If necessary, use a smoothing or leveling compound to ensure a good surface regularity and seal the porosity of the concrete, in order to prevent the risk of blistering of the coating. Old coatings: In the case of chlorinated rubber coating adhering well, carry out a careful cleaning to remove all traces of limestone, dirt, oil. Then proceed to a light sanding to create a micro-roughness, then dust off. In the case of an existing, well-adherent coating of the Sikagard PoolCoat type, a simple cleaning with pressurized water (100 to 150 bar, possibly using a suitable cleaner) is sufficient. In case of doubt, a preliminary adhesion test is recommended.
