SIKA sealing mortar SikaGrout 217 - 25 kg - Grey, after mixing with water, a mortar of fluid consistency is obtained. Advantages : Sikagrout-217 is free of chlorides and metal particles that oxidize when in contact with moisture. It protects steels from corrosion by its basic pH value. It has very high mechanical resistance, in compression and bending, even in the short term, thus allowing for rapid return to service of the equipment. It's withdrawal compensated. A controlled expansion system occurs after the mortar is placed and compensates for the action of the first and second shrinkage. Its adhesion is excellent on concrete, mortar and steel. It provides a monolithic bond and is resistant to shocks and vibrations. It is not affected by significant variations in humidity or temperature; it is water and oil resistant. It is resistant to sea water and sulphate water. It has a good resistance to internal frost and flaking. It can be mixed with fillers to make thick or high volume wedging and sealing (outside the scope of the NF mark). Features : Packaging : 25 kg bag Inspection/Colour: Grey Shelf life: 12 months, in unopened original packaging Storage condition: Away from humidity Density: approx. 2.2 kg Packaging : x1 Sealing mortar Delivered in its original packaging Tips : QUALITY OF THE SUPPORT / PRE-TREATMENT The substrate must be clean, sound and have undergone a suitable surface preparation to remove any loose or poorly adherent parts. In particular, it must be free of oil, grease, laitance, curing compounds and any other substance which may affect the adhesion of Sikagrout-217 and the monolithic nature of the assembly. It shall have a cohesion of at least 1 MPa in direct traction. The substrate, concrete or mortar, must be prepared mechanically (shot blasting, hydrosandblasting, or other appropriate method). During application, the substrate must be saturated with water. To do this, water it abundantly the day before and moisten it again if necessary just before application. Make sure, however, that no film or puddle remains on the surface, as this could impair the adhesion of the mortar.
