SIKA SikaLayer PC3 acoustic sub-layer - 12m2, an acoustic sub-layer for bonding parquet to heated floors. The application is easy and allows good insulation of shock noises. Advantages: Easy application Suitable for underfloor heating Excellent sound insulation to shock noise Suitable for solid or engineered wood flooring machined grooves and tongues in English type with a thermal resistance of less than 0.08 m K / W Read more instructions before use Characteristics: Thickness: 3 mm Consumption: Sub-layer: same surface as that of the parquet to be bonded Average mass density: 270 + 20 g / m Colors: Beige Reference: 85469 Packaging: Comes in its original packaging Advice: SUPPORT Supports must be cohesive, healthy and clean. The heating must be interrupted 48 hours before the application of the smoothing compound or glue. Shave all protruding parts, sand, smooth if necessary with a suitable hydraulic binder. Allow the patch to dry completely and ensure that the glue adheres well. Dust thoroughly the supports by suction. APPLICATION Lay the SikaLayer PC3 underlay on the surface to be covered with parquet. The plates must be cut with a cutter at the level of the walls, jambs or skirting boards, if these are already in place and this, without contact or reassembly, thus preserving a suitable peripheral clearance (DTU 51.2). The plates will be laid on the ground with a clearance of 1 mm along the entire length of the room, so that the recesses are perpendicular to the length of the blades in English laying. Cut the useless part of the last plate of the row with a cutter, without leaving a rise. The plates thus laid form the laying surface of the parquet on which the circulation on the bare underlayer will be limited to avoid any alteration. Apply SikaBond 52 Parquet adhesive (see product instructions) in each recess with the nozzle, in a 6 mm diameter bead. Lay the parquet by moving forward or back on the under layer and control gradually the good contact with the glue before it forms a skin. Uneven flatness blade loading can be achieved with, for example, a bundle of blades to achieve good contact with the glue until complete drying. Use Sika products with care. Before use, please consult the manufacturer's product leaflet available on the sika.fr website.
