Paint, cement laitance and other loosely adhering elements should be removed. Sika Boom 400 Fire adheres without primer or activator. Moisten the support with clean water to allow the foam to polymerize properly and also to avoid a second expansion. Application: Shake the Sika Boom 400 Fire Aerosol thoroughly for at least 20 seconds before use. Shake again after long periods of use. Remove the extrusion nozzle from the adapter. Screw the Sika Boom 400 Fire aerosol adapter onto the gun adapter. The amount of extruded expansive foam can be adjusted by more or less squeezing the trigger or by turning or unscrewing the gun knob. Fill the deep joints in several layers. For each layer to expand and polymerize sufficiently, spray water between each layer. Do not fill the joints completely as the foam expands during polymerization. For the filling of small cavities, use an extension tube (the output is less with an extension tube). All building elements should be temporarily fixed until the foam is fully cured.
