SIKA Sikaflex 11 FC Plus Polyurethane Sealant - Black - 380g is both a joint sealant and a multi - use adhesive for indoor and outdoor use. Tips: SUPPORT The substrate must be clean, dry, sound and homogeneous, free from oils, grease, dust and loose or friable particles. Paint, cement laitance and other loosely adhering elements should be removed. Sikaflex 11 FC + adheres without primer or activator. However, to obtain optimal adhesion and performance applications such as renovation work, joints that are highly stressed and joints that are highly exposed to the weather or immersed in water, primers, degreasers and surface preparations. APPLICATION Grouting After the necessary preparation of the supports, install in the joint at the required depth, a Sika JOINTS FIT of section adapted to the width of the joint. If necessary, apply a Sika primer. Install the cartridge or refill in a putty gun. Extrude the Sikaflex 11 FC + sealant into the seal and press it onto the seal lips ensuring good contact with them. Fill the joint continuously and avoid any air bubbles. Sikaflex 11 FC + must be firmly squeezed against the joint lips to allow good adhesion. It is recommended to use media protection strips if clean, straight edge joints are required. Remove the strips before the putty deforms a skin. Do not use smelt products with solvents. Bonding After the necessary preparation of the supports, apply Sikaflex 11 FC +, in points or cords on the bonding surface a few centimeters apart. Press the element to be glued to the right place by hand only. If necessary, use adhesive tapes, shims or accessories to hold the assembled components during the first hours of polymerization. A poorly positioned element can be easily removed and repositioned during the first few minutes of application. Press again. Effective bonding will be obtained after the complete polymerization of Sikaflex 11 FC +, that is to say after 24 to 48 hours at + 23 ° C for an adhesive thickness of between 2 and 3 mm. Use Sika products with care. Before use, please consult the manufacturer's product leaflet available on the sika.fr website.
