Remove dust, oil, grease, rust, old sealants, materials containing light oils or antioxidants: bitumen, pitch, asphalt, rubber and any product that may affect the adhesion of the sealant. Dry wet substrates. Degrease the supports with acetone and allow them to dry completely, i.e. for at least 10 minutes at + 23 °C. APPLICATION Installation of a joint base with a suitable cross - section, to limit the depth of the sealant joint to the dimensions provided for in DTU 39. Fill the joint with the mastic applied as a continuous joint, avoiding any air inclusion with a manual, pneumatic or electric gun. Tightening and then smoothing with a dry spatula before a skin is formed. Remove burrs and excess product with a cloth impregnated with White Spirit or acetone.
