The name of the Real Balneario Solán de Cabras, built by Charles III in 1775, comes from a legend: a shepherd thought these waters had curative properties for his goats, as he noticed how the sick goats spontaneously bathed in the water, in a sunny spot called 'Solána', and almost instinctively perceived its medicinal qualities. The spring of Solán de Cabras is located in the mountainous area of the province of Cuenca, in a kind of amphitheatre surrounded by high peaks. The establishment's facilities are spread out on both sides of the Cuervo River and are connected by a beautiful park. The waters of Real Balneario Solán de Cabras are oligometallic, bicarbonate, ferruginous and calcium - lithinic. Solán de Cabras water is characterised by a smooth taste and a refined feel on the palate.
