Sprayable foam polyurethane foam - SIKA Boom XL Gun Multiposition - 500ml - White, This product is used to fill and seal voids. Excellent adhesion. Advantages : Good adhesion to concrete, cement mortar, cement fibres, terracotta, plaster, tile, wood. Other supports: preliminary tests Good elastic recovery Limits the efforts transmitted to the supports Thermal and acoustic insulation Extrudes upside down after vigorous agitation. Propellant gas that is not harmful to the ozone layer Features : Chemical base: One-component polyurethane foam Colour: White Density: 15 4 kg / m3 approx. (polymerized foam in free expansion) Shelf life: 12 months Packaging : 1x Sprayable foam polyurethane foam - SIKA Boom XL Gun Multiposition - 500ml - White Delivered in its original packaging Tips : Application methods : Before applying the foam, protect the supports from any burrs with a removable masking tape and the floor. General information : Shake the Sika Boom - Xl Gun aerosol well for at least 20 seconds before use. Shake again after long periods of inactivity. Moisten by spraying tap water on the supports and between layers of extruded foam. Fill the cavities with approx. 30% of their total volume, because in the event of excess, the strong expansion of the foam can cause significant overflows and possible soiling. Apply in layers up to 30 mm thick. The foam consistency is suitable for filling vertical joints up to 5 cm wide. Cavities or joints wider than 5 cm should be filled in successive layers applied on the previous fully cured ones. After curing, cut the foam with a cutter if necessary. In the case of exterior joinery, make an exterior cladding with 10 mm thick cement mortar and then apply a Sika range sealant joint on a Sika Joint Base of suitable cross-section to achieve air and water tightness. All components must be temporarily fixed until the foam has completely cured. The final strength is obtained after complete polymerization. Can be painted after 24 hours of drying at + 20C: preliminary test Can be plastered after 24 hours of drying at +20C with a cement or plaster mortar. Spray application: Screw the aerosol adapter onto the spray gun adapter. Extract the foam by pressing the gun trigger. The amount of extruded foam expansion can be adjusted by pressing the trigger more or less or by screwing or unscrewing the gun knob. Fill the deep joints in several layers. Do not completely fill the cavities as the foam expands during polymerization. Do not unscrew or remove unused aerosol from the gun. Never leave an aerosol empty on a spray gun so that the foam does not harden in the gun. Immediately after removing the gun from an empty aerosol, screw in a new aerosol or clean the gun thoroughly with Sika Boom Cleaner to avoid damaging the gun (see Sika Boom Cleaner instructions). Cleaning of tools: Uncured foam: acetone or Sika Boom Cleaner. Cured foam: mechanical abrasion. Limitations: Do not use in confined spaces. Ventilate the application room. Do not expose the aerosol to sunlight and heat or to a temperature higher than + 50 C: risk of explosion. Do not contact the extruded foam with acetone or Sika Boom Cleaner, as this will affect its expansion and polymerization. Sika Boom - XL GUN is not suitable: on silicone substrates, for waterproofing and on submerged and ground substrates, in contact with products containing light oils, plasticizers or antioxidants: bitumen, pitch, asphalt, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Teflon, silicone, oils, greases, mould release agents, etc.? The service constraints must not exceed the strength of the foam. Sika Boom - XL GUN is only suitable for use in conjunction with mechanical mounting. The foam degrades on the surface with prolonged exposure to UV and water. Protect the polymerized foam with a suitable paint or mortar.
