In particular, it must be free from traces of demoulding products, curing agents, grease, laitance, plaster, etc. The substrate is moistened beforehand if necessary (application on a highly absorbent substrate or one that has been exposed to the sun in hot weather). The substrate must not bleed moisture and must be free of any film or surface water puddles during application. Glazed plaster plasters must be scratched and then dusted. Spread the product on the substrate using a trowel or a smoothing machine, then adjust the thickness with a notched spatula (choice of teeth according to the format of the coating and the flatness of the substrate (this is referred to the consumption table in the product manual). In the case of double gluing, coat the back of the element to be glued with a thin layer of adhesive. Maximum glue thickness: 3 mm. Within the limit of the open time, lay the coating on the glued substrate and press or beat it strongly in order to drive out the air and obtain a good transfer of the adhesive mortar. Clean the coating with a damp sponge as soon as it is applied. Finish the finishing joints with SikaCeram Fine, Wide or Flex Joint.
